GAC is a community where every member of the family has a place and a responsibility. Through structured giving opportunities, we work together to provide the highest quality academic and extracurricular selections, parent programs, and mission opportunities near and far.

Our commitment to Be Greater is a promise and an investment. Our mission is to help each child grow as Jesus did, in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. Given the right tools, space, and faithful guidance, our students grow into capable people who understand the value of generous support.

We invite every family to join us in helping our students grow to be greater in every way.

Benefits of Your Bequest

  • Leave a lasting legacy to be remembered.
  • Lessen the burden of taxes on your family.
  • Possible estate tax savings.

How Do You Make a Bequest?

A bequest is one of the easiest gifts to make. With the help of an advisor, you can include language in your will or trust specifying a gift to be made to family, friends or Greater Atlanta Christian School as part of your estate plan.

Your Bequest Options

A bequest may be made in several ways:

  • Gift of a specific dollar amount or asset
  • Gift of a percentage of your estate
  • Gift from the balance or residue of your estate

Making a Bequest of Your Retirement Assets

A retirement asset, such as an IRA account, makes an excellent bequest to us. If the IRA were given to your family, much of the value may be lost through estate and income taxes. By designating Greater Atlanta Christian School as the beneficiary of all or part of your IRA (using a beneficiary designation form provided by your custodian), the full value of the gift is transferred tax-free at your death and your estate receives an estate tax charitable deduction.

we are a community

"The strength we experience in GAC today is because people planned their legacies to build a bright and faithful future. In their estates and wills, large and small, they made a place for GAC and Christian education. You can see their handiwork in scholarships they endowed; in facilities and programs that wouldn't be here without their gift in a will; with support for teachers; in faithchanging experiences for students every year."
